IAYT Accreditation

Welcome to the IAYT accreditation process!

IAYT accreditation is a voluntary process designed for IAYT member schools who seek accreditation of their yoga therapy training programs that meet the IAYT Educational Standards for the Training of Yoga Therapists.

The accreditation process is demanding and requires a deep commitment. IAYT’s goal is to be as supportive to its member schools as possible while maintaining a fair and objective process.

The accreditation application requires a great deal of data and information and the review process is a rigorous one. We want to be sure you have all the information and understanding that you need in order to submit a complete application. This will save a lot of time and energy on both your part and the part of IAYT and the Accreditation Committee once your application is submitted.

The accreditation process begins with a phone conversation with the Accreditation Manager. Following this call, you must submit a letter of intent.

Please Note: Starting April 1, 2016, IAYT will begin accepting new applications twice a year:

  • October 15th – November 15th
  • March 15th – April 15th
