About the International Journal of Yoga Therapy
Share |

The International Journal of Yoga Therapy (IJYT) is an annual, peer-reviewed journal serving yoga practitioners, yoga teachers, yoga therapists, health professionals, and yoga researchers. We publish scholarly and research-based submissions related to any tradition or aspect of yoga therapy. An annual electronic Supplement provides abstracts from IAYT's Symposium on Yoga Therapy and Research (SYTAR). The IJYT is published in October. Digital access to back issues is available through 2002.

Each issue contains

  • Perspectives - non-peer-reviewed editorials on any issue related to the research and practice of yoga therapy.

  • Issues in Yoga Therapy - peer-reviewed scholarly articles that address issues, challenges, and controversies in the research and practice of yoga therapy.

  • Research - reports of original research and case studies.
  • Yoga Therapy in Practice - continuing education articles describing specific approaches to yoga therapy.
