Why I Give to IAYT
Share |

IAYT’s mission is to establish yoga as a recognized and respected therapy.  IAYT is committed to a certification of individual yoga therapists (C-IAYT) that is internationally recognized and respected - by yoga therapy practitioners and educators steeped in the yoga tradition, and by practitioners from other healthcare fields with whom yoga therapists work in partnership. Establishing the proper structure and process to provide this credential is a major part of our standards effort.

It takes time and resources to do this right.  Contributions support the many activities that are taking place to offer you the national recognition of IAYT Certification (C-IAYT).  Gifts of any size make it possible for IAYT to continue to work on your behalf and to spread yoga therapy around the globe.  What a difference we can all make in the world!

Our Goal is $108,000 by 2016.

Online donations are quick and easy using our secure credit card transactions. We welcome donations of all sizes.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization, contributions to IAYT are tax deductible. IAYT's tax identification number is 83-0398405.

Some of our members share their thoughts about "Why I Give to IAYT"

Susan Tebb learned the value of yoga therapy while supporting women who had survived abuse and trauma during the Bosnian conflict.  She gives to IAYT to support the highest quality training standards for yoga therapists.

Baxter Bell relies on IAYT for presentation of quality research in the IJYT and at our conferences.  He also gives to support the community of yoga therapists to which IAYT is foundational.

Joseph LePage sees IAYT as doing the real work of yoga therapy by holding the space for this profession.
