International Journal
of Yoga Therapy
Since 1990 this journal has served the professional needs of Yoga
teachers and Yoga therapists, as well as physicians, nurses, physical and
occupational therapists, chiropractors, bodyworkers, and psychotherapists with
an interest in Yoga therapy. Originally titled The Journal of The International
Association of Yoga Therapists, the journal was renamed International
Journal of Yoga Therapy and revised and expanded in 1999 when the
International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) became a division of Yoga
Research and Education Center. The latter name for the journal was retained
when IAYT became a separate organization in July 2004. The journal is published

Yoga Therapy in Practice (YTIP)
YTIP is a print publication c. 32 pages, that provides practical ideas for Yoga professionals as well as Membership News for IAYT. This publication includes brief case studies, short articles on professional issues, descriptions of Yoga practices for specific populations, and other topics of interest to members. Yoga Studies Online
Journal
Oriented toward Yoga teachers, Yoga therapists, and medical
professionals who utilize Yoga in their practice, publication of this
tri-annual, online, c. 40-page newsletter began in January 2002 (note: a
photocopy of this online publication is available to members without Internet
access and to members who prefer to read the newsletter offline). Each issue
contains a feature article, one or more practical articles related to the
teaching or therapeutic application of Yoga, Questions & Answers, News
(encompasses topics ranging from the practice of Yoga therapy in various
medical settings to the multiple uses of Yoga to reduce stress to Yoga's broad
cultural influence), Reviews, Research Summaries, and Yoga Therapy Continuing
Education Courses, Conferences, and Training Programs. To view the tables of

Yoga and Health
Bibliographies
The bibliographies contain citations for journal articles, books,
chapters or sections in books, magazine articles, newspaper articles, online
resources, audiotapes/CDs, and videotapes/DVDs related to each subject. Where
applicable, an "Ongoing Research" section is included that describes
in-progress studies and provides contact information for each researcher. Some
bibliographies also provide contact information for practitioners specializing
in the subject area. Each bibliography is considered to be under continuous
construction, as citations are added offline whenever new material becomes
known. Updated versions of the online bibliographies are periodically uploaded
to the website, and corrections and additions are always welcome (please send
to mail@iayt.org). The information provided
