Every August 14, IAYT's Global Yoga Therapy Day (GYTD) brings together an international community to share about the practice and profession of yoga therapy as it evolves. The event also provides professional development for yoga therapists and a window onto practice around the world. Our expert presenters—many of them directors and key faculty from IAYT-accredited programs around the world—will bring forward the 2024 GYTD theme of Embracing Diversity: Exploring Access and Belonging in Yoga Therapy in their own unique ways. Access the day's schedule, plus a bonus piece, "Enhancing Accessibility and Inclusivity in Yoga Therapy: Reflections Through the Koshas," here.
As the day unfolds, we look forward to a profound exchange
of ideas, experiences, and perspectives that will uplift spirits and
invigorate hearts. Together, we will emerge strengthened by our
collective commitment to embracing diversity and nurturing true
belonging within the transformational domain of yoga therapy. Learn more about GYTD at iayt.org/globalyogatherapyday.
Launched in 2019 by Ann Marie Grace to celebrate the field and raise awareness, GYTD perfectly complements IAYT's mission of advancing yoga therapy as a recognized health profession. In 2023, nearly 1,300 people from more than 50 countries celebrated with us. GYTD 2024, which offers 2 continuing education credits for C-IAYTs, is free to all and made possible by donations. To contribute, please visit iayt.org/donate. Thanks to a generous matching gift, all GYTD contributions (up to $2,500) will be doubled.
