Indu Arora is an acclaimed Ayurvedic Clinician, Master Yoga Therapist and Author with more than 30,000 hours/ 14 years of teaching experience. She is the Director and founder of Yogsadhna and teaches Yoga Therapy Training programs globally. She also serves as the Membership director of Association of Ayurvedic Professional of Northern America. Some of the awards she received are ‘Sage ’, ‘Gem of India”, "Ray of Light” for her contribution to Yoga and Ayurveda. Her philosophy is, "Nothing has the greatest power to heal, but Self”.

Lilith Bailey-Kroll, MFA, E-RYT 500 helps those in their prime maintain health and do the things they love through online yoga and onsite trainings. After completing her MFA at Carnegie Mellon University, she found her calling by incorporating innovative business techniques to create new possibilities to support health and wellness through Yoga Is My Health Insurance. A decade later, Lilith is sharing her skill set to help other yoga teachers establish their presence in the community as well as linking them together at an international level to activate global recognition towards yoga therapy.


Kyona Beatty, CMP, HHC, RYT-200, POLY, CYT, YTRx-800C began her professional journey into health and wellness over a decade ago as the lead massage therapist and staff trainer at the L’Ermitage Beverly Hills Spa, and simultaneously established a thriving bodywork practice providing healing touch to a variety of clients including celebrities, entertainment executives, and resorts. Promoting a holistic approach to treatment through advanced education and experience with Prime of Life Yoga™, clinical yoga therapy, and nutrition and lifestyle counseling,Kyona attunes to the whole person to ensure a unique healing and balancing experience.

Julie Carmen, MA, LMFT, E-RYT 500, YTRX.  Julie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Director of Mental Health at Loyola Marymount University Yoga Therapy Rx. She had rigorous training and experience as a drama therapist at Cell Block Theater under Ray Gordon in the 1970s, integrating improvisation theater techniques with yoga while working with ex-convicts in New York City. From 2001-2003, Julie designed and implemented the Yoga Therapy and Drama Therapy departments of Passages Dual Diagnosis Residential Treatment Center and was the yoga therapist at Monte Nido Eating Disorder Center for 4 years. She taught at Exhale in Venice for 12 years & designed the Yoga for Hormones protocol for Suzanne Somers whom she’s been teaching privately since 2002.

Alison Crowley, RYT 500, Certified Yoga Therapist and member, IAYT.  Alison is a co-founder of The Yoga PrescriptionTM and co-creator of the yoga therapy programs for Cedars-Sinai/Tower Hematology Oncology Medical Group, Cedars-Sinai/Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute, The Center for Radiation Therapy of Beverly Hills, Tower Cancer Research Foundation, and USC/Norris Cancer Hospital. She is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University’s Yoga Therapy Rx Certification Program . The Yoga Prescription’s TM "Yoga Therapy Program to Support Your Cancer Treatment” offers physical, psychological, and emotional support to people living with cancer.

Arun Deva, DASc, AYT, E-RYT 500, YTRx is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, yoga therapist and a certified teacher of Vinyasa Krama Yoga. He has served both the National & State Ayurvedic Associations: NAMA & CAAM, and currently heads NAMA's Committee on Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy Standards. Arun teaches internationally, lectures at Conferences, writes articles for different publications, has been featured on both radio and television and has a Yoga/Ayurveda clinic in Los Angeles. Born and raised in India where he began his yogic studies, Arun has made his home in Los Angeles since 1977. His work may be found at

Staffan Elgelid, PT, GCFT, PhD, is Associate Professor of Physical Therapy at Nazareth College. At Nazareth College he teaches health and wellness and is the director of the college’s health and wellness programs. He has presented on a multitude of topics both nationally and internationally. He is also a Feldenkrais Practitioner and has been active in the Feldenkrais and Somatic Education community both at a national and international level. Staffan was elected to the IAYT board of directors in May, 2013 and now serves as the board liaison to the IAYT Accreditation Committee. Previously he was on the Accreditation Committee as well as the IAYT Advisory Council. Staffan has published several articles in IAYT publications and holds a yoga therapy certification from YogaLife Institute.

Guy Gabriel CYT, E-RYT.  After gaining a diploma in Ayurvedic Health Sciences from the California College of Ayurveda and completing Yoga Teacher Training at Center for Yoga LA, Guy began teaching corporate yoga at companies such as Paramount, Disney, Nestle, DreamWorks and Universal. Guy teaches vinyasa at TheraYoga currently as well as Ayurveda for Yoga Teacher Trainings. He recently finished studies at LMU in Yoga Therapy Rx 2, and holds a certificate in Yoga and Ecology also from LMU. He’s a member of IAYT, YA, NAMA, and CAAM. Guy was a panel speaker at YA’s Yoga of Business conference in Washington DC, and is a contributing writer for LA YOGA, Ayurveda and Health Magazine.


Maria Garre, M.Ed, currently serves on Faculty and as the Ayuryoga Program Manager at the Ayurvedic Institute. She is also co-directing the Samdura School for Living Yoga Ayurveda Consultant program with Shiva Rea. She is the founder of the bi-yearly Detox and Evolve program and Living Bhakti on line webinar educational programs, Maria offers both spiritual as well as academic teaching in Yoga and Ayurveda. You will easily find her at workshops, teacher training intensives and leading transformative retreats to India and beyond.


Janice Gates, founder of Somatic Yoga Therapy programs, has been a practicing yoga therapist for over 20 years. She is past president and current advisor to IAYT, has served on the faculty of the Yoga Research and Education Center, and written widely on yoga, yoga therapy and meditation.She is author of the pioneering book, Yogini, the Power of Women in Yoga and her work has been featured in Yoga Journal, Yoga International, IJYT and Oprah Magazine. She currently trains and mentors yoga professionals and healthcare practitioners in how to use the incredibly sophisticated tools of yoga for healing.


Terra Gold, MA, L.Ac YTRX, is a certified yoga therapist, licensed acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine practitioner, a clinical nutritionist and has an allied professional degree in integrative body psychotherapy. Founder of the holistic medicine company Terra Wellness, she is also the director of "Yoga and the Healing Sciences” Yoga Teacher Training Program at Loyola Marymount University each fall. Terra co-wrote the comprehensive yoga therapy medical book, Yoga Therapy and Integrative Medicine: Where Ancient Science Meets Modern Medicine highlighting the uses of yoga therapy within specific medical fields. Along with this, Terra is also a Bhakti Kirtan Musician with a self-released album entitled, "Sun and Moon.”

Dr. Eden Goldman, DC, CYT, YTRX, E-RYT 500, is a wellness-based chiropractor, certified Yoga therapist and physical rehabilitation specialist. He is the owner of the Yoga Doctors Mandiram wellness center in West Los Angeles, California and director of Loyola Marymount University’s Yoga and the Healing Sciences Teacher Training Program.  Co-author of Yoga Therapy and Integrative Medicine: Where Ancient Science Meets Modern Medicine and author of The Secret Art of Adjusting Yoga Poses, he was raised in the Kriya Yoga tradition of Paramahansa Yogananda and has been teaching Yoga for over 15 years. Dr. Goldman co-developed The Yoga Doctors Method of Chikitsa Vinyasa Yoga, or Therapeutic Flow Yoga, while mentoring under Dr. Larry Payne, PhD, and Dr. Craig Liebenson, DC, former team Chiropractor for the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers.


JJ Gormley, E-RYT 500, is Director of Surya Chandra Healing Yoga School, which offers Yoga Teacher Training Programs at the 200-hr, 500-hr, 700-hr and 1000-hr levels. She has been practicing yoga since 1979, teaching since 1989 and teaching teachers since 1994. She has studied many traditions of yoga, most extensively in the Krishnamacharya Tradition, and she has produced numerous DVDs and training materials as part of her teacher training schools. JJ travels frequently, presenting workshops and trainings on a wide range of yoga and yoga therapy topics. 


Hansa Knox, LMT, E-RYT, IAYT Accreditation Committee Chair Hansa is an ongoing student of Kripalu yoga, and, she has integrated work from other teachers who have offered insights on the path of yoga. She utilizes yoga, yoga cikitsa, Ayurveda and massage in her practice. She owns the PranaYoga and Ayurveda Mandala in Denver where she teaches yoga classes, yoga teacher and yoga therapy trainings. Hansa is president of Sanga, past president of Yoga Alliance and Yoga Teachers Of Colorado. She has served on the Board of Kripalu Center, International Yoga College and is an advisor to International Association of Yoga Therapy.

Linda Lack, Ph.D., is a widely-respected yoga/movement therapist, educator, international lecturer and body-based researcher. She has dedicated her life to the study of the human body and its relationship to breath and movement, creating The Thinking Body—The Feeling Mind®, a contemporary movement/healing technique now practiced and taught throughout the United States, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Lack specializes in the analysis and resolution of physical, emotional and spiritual issues impacting the functionality of the body. She trains and certifies Yoga/Movement Therapists, Professional Dancers and Actors, Yoga Teachers, and anyone wanting a better "ride” in body.

Mary Partlow Lauttamus, M.S.W., E-RYT 500.  Mary is Director of the Master of Science in Yoga Therapy program at Maryland University of Integrative Health. She completed her professional training with Integrative Yoga Therapy, Functional Yoga Therapy, and Yoga of Awareness for Cancer at Duke Integrative Medicine. She is a student of meditation, living anatomy and the physical practice of yoga with Prajna Yoga. Mary’s personal experience with the healing benefits of yoga led her to leave behind a career in strategic communications and devote her energy to organizations and programs that advocate for recognition and acceptance of yoga therapy in the field of integrative health.

Michael Lee, M.A., Dip.Soc.Sci., E-RYT 500 is the Founder of Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, a leading edge yoga based modality in body-mind therapy with an IAYT Accredited Yoga Therapy Training Program.He has presented at worldwide since 1986 including the International Yoga Teachers Conference in Singapore. Yoga Journal Conferences, Family Therapy Networker, and MISTY. Michael is the author of two books, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy and Turn Stress Into Bliss and a contributing author in the APA published text Movement and Expressive Techniques in Clinical Practice. He also offers programs for Psychotherapists and professionals embracing an embodied mindfulness approach in therapeutic yoga.

Cathy Lilly, BSc Medical Technology, E-RYT 500.  Cathy met Loren Fishman, MD, at SYTAR 2008 which led to teaching yoga part time at his medical office, located within her NYC residence. Through the years patients have credited Cathy’s lighthearted yet detailed lessons as empowering. Per Hal Shaw: "I graduated from a 4 pronged walker to run 5K races, losing 136 lbs on the way”. Regarding Yoga vs. Osteoporosis research, Dr. Fishman has stated " Her group of osteoporosis patients did better than just about any other group we’ve studied in the US or elsewhere." Cathy also teaches at Yogaworks and ISHTA yoga and she’s done yoga related work on radio, print, TV, and film. Her seva includes serving as the National Co-Chair of SAG-AFTRA’s National Health Care Safety Net committee.

Megan McCarver, M.A. is a Yoga Therapist practicing in Orange County, California. She has over 30 years of success in the Health and Wellness Industry including Stress and Pain Management, Mindful Meditation and Therapeutic Yoga. Megan’s advance trainings are a Master’s Degree in M.F.C., Yoga Therapy Rx, YogaWorks Certified and over 1008 hours of Formal Yoga Teacher Trainings and Self Care. /


Lori McIntosh holds a Junior Intermediate certificate in Iyengar Yoga and teaches at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of Los Angeles. She assists in the Therapeutics program at the Institute and is a dedicated student of Manouso Manos. She has studied several times with BKS Iyengar and the Iyengar family at Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India.


Jill Miller, E-RYT, has 28 years of corrective movement expertise that forges links between the worlds of yoga, massage, athletics, and pain management. Her signature self-care health programs are found at fitness and yoga studios,hospitals,and corporations worldwide. Jill has been featured in Yoga Journal, Shape, Self, and on the Today Show, and is a contributing expert on the Oprah Winfrey Network.She is the author of bestseller, The Roll Model, and the creator of the DVD seriesYoga Tune Up, Yoga Link, and Yoga for Weight Loss.


Steffany Moonaz, PhD, RYT-500 is a yoga therapist and researcher in Baltimore, MD. After several years in academic medical research, she now serves as the Associate Academic Director of Integrative Health Sciences at the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH), and is on the faculty of their Masters of Science in Yoga Therapy. Dr. Moonaz is passionate about the integration, collaboration, and communication between yoga therapists and medical providers. She leads continuing education programs for yoga teachers/therapists in the application and adaptation of yoga for arthritis and rheumatic conditions and consultants to NIH Nursing on yoga research programs for arthritis.

Rick Morris D.C.,CYTDr. Morris is the associate director of the LMU Yoga Therapy Rx Level I program and former team doctor for the US Olympic Trials Track and Field Team, LA Clippers, and UCLA Track and Field. Due to his own life experiences, he now focuses on severe disc disease and spinal stenosis and is the director of The Morris Spinal Stenosis and Disc Center in Santa Monica, California. He presents original papers on these subjects at international research conferences and lobbies for healthcare reform.


Devi Mueller, CAS, MAyu, AP.  Devi is an Ayurvedic Practitioner practicing in Seal Beach, CA. She opened her practice, Patterns For Living in 2003 to guide and support her clients on their varied journeys to health. Devi served six years on the Board of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, 2007 - 2013, and was NAMA President, 2008 - 2010. She has been involved with managing NAMA Conferences since 2004. She also works as a Membership/Website Support Specialist for IAYT. Devi has created numerous programs and written articles and papers for various health related publications. She is currently the Membership Manager for NAMA.


Larry Payne, PhD, E-RYT 500 YTRXLarry is the founding president of International Association of Yoga Therapists and co-author of the new revised "Yoga for Dummies,” "Yoga Therapy & Integrative Medicine” "Yoga Rx,” and "The Business of Teaching Yoga.” Payne is featured in both the Yoga Therapy Rx and Prime of Life Yoga DVD series. The Los Angeles Times named Payne "One of America's most respected Yoga teachers." He is also co-founder of the Yoga curriculum at the UCLA School of Medicine, and director of the Yoga Therapy Rx & Prime of Life Yoga certification programs at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Larry is inspired by TKV Desikachar since 1980.

Shelly Prosko, PT, PYT, CPIShelly is a Physical Therapist, Yoga Therapist and Pilates Instructor that has been integrating yoga & Pilates into her physical therapy practise for over 16 years. She received her Physical Therapy degree at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, her Medical Therapeutic Yoga training through Professional Yoga Therapy Studies in North Carolina and her Pilates certification through Professional Health & Fitness Institute in Maryland. Currently, Shelly resides in Alberta, Canada and travels across Canada and the United States offering specialty Yoga Therapy workshops & trainings, individual treatments, lecturing at University programs, and actively promoting the integration of therapeutic yoga into our current healthcare system.

Jim Reale has taught yoga since 1995 integrating eastern wisdom practices with western spirituality. For 15 years, he has studied yoga and Vedic chant with Sonia Nelson. He is published in Yoga Therapy Today and The International Journal of Yoga Therapy. He is a certified Yoga Therapist through Sannadhi of Krishnamacharya Yoga (SKY) having completed a 1000-hour program and five months internship in Chennai, India. Additionally, Jim conducted yoga research at UNM. He is the director of Southwest Yoga Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He composed his first CD entitled, Doorway to Devotion, a tool to aid spiritual practice.


Kathleen Ross-Allee, RYT500, Certified Yoga Therapist and member, IAYT.  Kathleen is a co-founder of The Yoga PrescriptionTM and co-creator of the yoga therapy programs for Cedars-Sinai/Tower Hematology Oncology Medical Group, Cedars-Sinai/Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute, The Center for Radiation Therapy of Beverly Hills, Tower Cancer Research Foundation, and USC/Norris Cancer Hospital.  She is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University’s Yoga Therapy Rx Certification Program, where she has been the Managing Director since 2010. Matthew J Taylor PT, PhD, has 33 years as a leader in integrative rehabilitation and his practice has been featured in national publications for both patient care delivery and administrative design. His cash-based business is a futuristic approach fusing orthopedic rehabilitation, Yoga therapy and modern transformation learning theory. He is past president of the board of directors of International Association of Yoga Therapists, chair of their business development community, and teaches nationally of business and clinical skills development for Yoga therapists. Dr Taylor is the editor of the just published, "Fostering Creativity in Rehabilitation.”


Laurel Trujillo, MD, is a general internist who has worked in quality improvement since 2001. Dr. Trujillo obtained her MD from University of California San Francisco (1988), residency training in Primary Care Internal Medicine at UCLA Medical Center (1991), and completed a fellowship in the California Health Care Foundation’s Health Care Leadership Program (2010). She worked at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) from 1995-2014, serving as PAMF’s Medical Director of Quality from 2010-2014. Dr. Trujillo began studying Kriya Yoga philosophy and meditation at The Center for Spiritual Enlightenment in San Jose, California in 2002. She served on CSE’s Board of Directors for nine years and as President of the Board from 2013-2014. Ordained in the Kriya tradition in November, 2014, she currently serves on the faculty of Meru Institute and as a regular guest host for the online radio program, The Yoga Hour.

Lisa Walford holds an Intermediate Senior certificate in Iyengar Yoga, and has taught for over 30 years in the Los Angeles area, while also leading workshops internationally. She co-founded the Therapeutics Program at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Los Angeles, and sits on the advisory council for the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Lisa has assessed in the Iyengar Yoga Certification system for over twenty years, and is a founding Board member of the non-profit Iyengar Yoga Therapeutics organization. From 1995 through 2006, she co-created the YogaWorks Teacher Training program, wrote articles for Yoga Journal, and co-authored several books including The Longevity Diet (2008) & The Anti-Aging Plan (1994)

Helena Zera, RN, E-RYT 500, PranaFlow® Mentor/Assistant Samudra Global. Helena unites physical and esoteric anatomy as a 200 RPT. Foundress of the HastaPada as an evolutionary tool to discover the poise in each pose with therapy. A Certified Pelvic Floor Teacher and mother of three, Helena teaches Embodying the Female Pelvis workshops and HastaPada courses. Anatomy runs deep in her bones as a nurse with an orthopedic spouse, and intensive study of integrative and structural anatomy. Currently in the Ayurvedic Institute Ayuryoga Therapist training and now carries a 200 APTA, 2* Black Belt TKD, Fierce Bhakti; where would yoga be without the union of Love.
