Introduction to Reports of Studying Yoga and Yoga Therapy in India

As Yoga therapy becomes established in the Western world, the teaching and practice of this orientation will continue to evolve to serve different times and cultures. Still, IAYT is committed to "keeping the Yoga in Yoga therapy." We wish to support this by following the contemporary transmission of this discipline in its country of origin. It is our hope that these personal stories provide guidance and inspiration.

IAYT welcomes additional contributions covering the major Yoga centers and teachers in India with a history of therapeutic applications. To have your story considered for publication, please send your submission to John Kepner, Executive Director,, with a "cc" to Grace Bullock, Editor in Chief,
